Compatible with BMW 3 series (E46), 5 series (E39), 7 series (E38) and X5 (E53) units equipped with Steptronic automatic transmission.
This harness allows you to peform a clean install, without cutting or altering the existing OEM wiring. Therefore, this procedure is completely reversible.
You'll need a M3 SMG steering wheel or an Alpina paddle shift model. "Sport" paddle shift steering wheel is not suitable for this wiring setup.
The kit already includes the new slip ring with additional connection terminals. This component is essential to carry the signal from the paddle shifters.
